Dance, Darts, Disc Golf, DIY Relay Race, Dodgeball, Double Dutch, and Dragon Boat
DANCEDance is a form of expression, and there are many different types of dance, such as jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, breakdance, modern, ballet, and much more!
To dance as part of #YQLChallenge, the possibilities are endless! You could take a class, you could go to a club or you could just move the furniture out of the way and crank some music up! Check out the Lethbridge Sport Council Directory to see all of the different dance studios in Lethbridge. |
DARTSDarts can be played by two individual players or in teams of two. All you need is a dartboard, and three darts per player or team. There's more than one way to play darts, check out the rules down below for different games!

DISC GOLFDisc golf also known as frisbee golf is similar to club golf, however, instead of using golf balls, players throw a disc into a basket or at a target. The object of the game is to finish the course in the fewest number of throws.
Lethbridge has a disc golf course located in Nicholas Sheran Park in West Lethbridge. A set of discs for disc golf can be borrowed from the Lethbridge Public Library's equipment collection. DIY RELAY RACEThis activity is perfect for family and friends gathering on a sunny day outside. To start a relay race, you would need a minimum of two groups to do the relay race.
Some ideas for the relay race could be: three legged race, sprints down the field, hula hoops, and much more. Get creative with this and get everyone involved and moving! |
DODGEBALLWe all remember dodgeball from gym classes back in elementary or junior high, and who doesn't love a good round of dodgeball. To play, all you need are some dodgeballs, an open space with a centre line, and you are good to go! You will need to split into teams of two, with even players on both sides, six balls in the middle of the court, and players standing on opposite ends of the court.

DOUBLE DUTCHDouble Dutch is a game that involves two long jump ropes turning in opposite directions, and are jumped by one or more players in the middle.
Double dutch ropes can be borrowed from the Lethbridge Public Libary's equipment colection. |
DRAGON BOATThe 16th annual ATB Financial Lethbridge Rotary Dragon Boat Festival will be held on June 23-25, 2017.
