MONKEY IN THE MIDDLEAlso known as 'Keep Away' this game requires at least three players, one player will stand in the middle of the circle and this player will be the "monkey". Players take turns throwing a bean bag or ball to one another across the circle, trying to prevent the "monkey" from getting it.
This game could be made easier or more difficult, depending on the age of the players, simply by altering the distance or terrain of the game. |
MUSICAL CHAIRSThis game requires at least three players, the more players you can get the funner it will be! For this game all you need are chairs and a music device where you can play music. You need one chair less than the amount of players in the game, and a person who can play and pause the music at random times. Place the chairs in a line or circle, and have the players walk/dance around the chairs. Once the music stops, the players need to try and sit on a chair, the remaining player without a chair is out, repeat this process until only one player is remaining.
Looking for more of a challenge? How about Extreme Musical Chairs: The set up is the same as traditional musical chairs. Before the players sit down they must complete a task that the music person gives out before each round. For example before sitting in a chair, players must do five jumping jacks or run and touch the wall. Another variation is to have the players hop, jump, walk backwards, or dance while they are walking around the chairs. |
